Same for me. My thought was this is in response to the complaints about the “grey” system in general. I get that it works to keep a thumb on trolls causing trouble, but a lot of people complained that the grey thing was sort of causing an elitist clique. I think those responsible for “ungreying” have gotten lazy and have not been approving many commenters anymore.

Gizmodo just flipped the follow switch. io9, toyland, Paleofuture and Gizmodo followed me just now.

Which proves that if a blog has blocked/banned you, it still won’t follow you now.

Which explains why Sploid wasn’t on the list.

Wow, I just got bombarded by some more follows myself!

I’ve been wanting to get out of the grey on Sploid and io9 for a while now, but it’s nice to be approved on Two Cents and Buyer’s Guide, too.

If I had to guess, I’d say that these follows are being grouped with blogs that I was already approved on. So Jalopnik must have gotten me into Buyer’s Guide and Lifehacker must have gotten me into Skillet, but I’m still grey on all the Deadspin, Kotaku, Jezebel, and Gawker sites.
